Incoming Nichols College students only need to attend one Summer Orientation session. We ask that the student be present for the duration of the session and actively participate in all activities. Late arrivals and early dismissals are not allowed due to the group experience.
When should we plan to arrive on campus for a session?
Arrival and Registration is schedule between 9:00am-10:00am of the first day of your session. If you are traveling from a distance of more than 4 hours, you may call the Center for Student Involvement at 508.213.2112 to request an arrival date the evening prior to your Summer Orientation session. Unfortunately, we can only offer overnight accommodations to students and will not be able to accommodate families or guests.
Students may drive themselves to Orientation. Please note that students are not permitted to depart campus until the completion of the Orientation schedule on their second day at approximately 1:00p.m.
How do I register for Summer Orientation?
On May 14, 2014 at 12:00pm, Summer Orientation will be accessible via the Nichols College homepage. Click the link on the left side of the homepage and that will bring you to our EventBrite registration page-with the updated link!
Should I register for my classes prior to arriving at Orientation?
We highly encourage students to register for their classes prior to arriving for their Summer Orientation session. This will enable our academic advisors to better serve our students during the advising session on Day 2 of the Orientation session. As an added bonus, any student who registers ahead of time will be entered to win a $100 gift card. If you do not register ahead of time, incoming students will have the opportunity to do so during their session.
What if I have food allergies?
Sodexo Dining Services can accommodate any and all dietary requests. Please let us know ahead of time, and we will be sure to offer suitable meals at each dining time. Summer Orientation is also a great time to get to know the Dining Hall layout and Sodexo staff.
I have questions about Financial Aid, playing a sport or any other service at Nichols College, will they be available?
All offices will either be presenting to Students and Guests or available at our Student Services fair. Most departments will be available for private appointments. Coaches will be available throughout the day to speak to incoming students and their guests.
